In April 2021, Shawn Warren was appointed Vice President, Combat and Trainer Engine Department, which includes current production and legacy engine programs such as F110, F414, F404, J85 and TF34 product families located in Lynn, Massachusetts and Evendale, OH.
Shawn is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the engine programs to include cross functional leadership of production, engineering, sales and marketing, advanced application development and customer support. Shawn possesses 22+ years of experience with GE and has held leadership positions across the entire life cycle of products (new engine development to legacy platforms) and across multiple functions including Engineering, Product Support, and Program Management. Previously, Shawn held the position of Vice President Large Military Combat Aircraft and mobility engines, responsible for all aspects of product management for assigned engine programs. Prior to this he was Executive Product Manager for Bombardier Engine Programs, responsible for leading the Passport program through execution of financial and technical requirements as the program completed engine and aircraft certification and transitioned to entry into service.
Shawn was also the Engineering Director for Lynn Turbofan/Turbojet (TFTJ) Engines, responsible for directing engineering activity for the F404, F414, TF34, and J85 product lines in the resolution of field and factory issues, creating and executing NPI programs, and defining retrofit kits to improve fielded product reliability. Shawn started his career with GE in 2002 on the Edison Engineering Development Program and has held various roles of increasing responsibility across Engineering, Product Support, and Six Sigma. Shawn is a graduate of The Pennsylvania State University with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
