Shakira Willoughby-Little is a creative technologist, educator, and author dedicated to helping people navigate the intersection of culture, identity, and technology with confidence. With over a decade of experience as a university professor, she explores how digital tools shape the way we learn, lead, and show up in the world.
She is currently the Assistant Director of Digital Learning and Innovation at Rutgers Business School, where she leads initiatives in instructional design, AI integration, and faculty and staff development. Her professional experience also includes work with NYU and PBS Digital and Immersive Learning, expanding access to meaningful and innovative digital education.
In the classroom, she teaches courses such as Social Impacts of Video Gaming and Gender and Technology, guiding students to critically examine power, representation, and innovation in a digital world. She is the founder of Technically Speaking Now, a technology education company centered on digital literacy and empowerment for women and underserved communities.
Shakira holds an MS in Education Media Design and Technology and an MFA in Creative Writing from Full Sail University. She also is a proud HBCU alumna with a Bachelor’s degree in English Media Arts from Coppin State University,
