Akilah is an Executive Director and Head of Business Strategy at Morrison, a $30 billion AUM specialist infrastructure manager headquartered in New Zealand. In this role, Akilah is responsible for spearheading the development and execution of the firm’s global strategic initiatives across topics relating to strategy, product, and growth; M&A and partnerships; tech / AI; and more. Prior to Morrison, she was a Director on the Value Creation Team at Warburg Pincus, providing M&A integration advisory to portfolio companies across the firm portfolio. Prior to Warburg, Akilah spent five years as a consultant at McKinsey & Company, where she was a member of both the Strategy & Corporate Finance and M&A practices. Akilah started her career as a Teach For America New York corps member, teaching middle school math to 5th graders at Uncommon Schools. Akilah holds a JD/MBA from the University of Pennsylvania Law School and the Wharton School, an M.S. in Education from Hunter College, and an A.B. in Economics from Harvard College.
